1. Just how bad was Bill Snyder's recruiting class if, after the Prince of Thieves came in and pulled a few rabbits out of his hat, they still struggled to finish in the top 40? The Prince is now king of the 2-Star recruit.
2. I heard that Ashlee Palmer is headed to Washington? It seems his LOI to NU isn't binding cause NU has a semester system and he didn't enroll at NU for the 2nd semester--while Washington has a quarter system and he will enroll there for the 4th quarter. In the future, NU is considering changing to a 52 Weekmester system so students can enrolll whenever they get around to it.
3. NU filled 5 TBA dates with 4 Div 1A and just one Div 1AA team over the next 2 seasons. What will some people have left to complain about?
4. NU will 'represent' in Detroit this week at the Superbowl. The Husker's have sent a piece of the original Field Turf to the Motor City. As the first school to use the surface that SuperBowl XL will be played on, the Huskers are the most experienced with the surface and 'Husker Field Turf Emeritus' has been cruising up and down radio row all week.
5. Stop with the 'hats on the table pick the one to wear' stuff. It's old, however, Andre Smith's laying out USC, LSU and Florida baseball caps in front of him before pulling a Bear Bryant houndstooth hat out from under the table--classic!
